This manual shows how to control the EV charger from IAMMETER via OCPP.
This tutorial will include such contents below.
Charger->Add a charger
Place: select the place of the EV charger. The place must be associated with one of the places in your account.
After the association, the charging status would also be added to the power chart on the page of overview.
There are two options.
It depends on whether your EV charger can use the ID allocated by the other system or only use a fixed ID(such as its SN).
Auto-generated:
you can generate a charger ID in this option and input this ID into your EV charger.
Use my device ID:
You can also use the charger ID in your EV charger in this option.
Name: the name of the EV charger, no extra requirements in this field
Type: type of the EV charger(3 phase or single phase )
Min Power: the minimum charging power that accepted by the EV charger
Max Power: the maximum charging power that accepted by the EV charger
This is the automation strategy that would be implemented on the EV charger When you enable this option, IAMMETER will control the EV charging based on this setting.
You can configure your own strategy, that sets a maximum grid power that is occupied in charging during different times.
If this value is set to zero, the charging may be implemented by the solar output totally. Of course, if you charge the EV only by solar output, it will need more time and only be done in the daytime.

This chapter will show how to configure the specific EV charger to connect the IAMMETER via OCPP.
OCPP server:
ws://ocpp.iammeter.com/ocpp
Please note: Normally, if your EV charger supports OCPP, it means you can connect it to IAMMETER and achieve the automation strategy. So even if your EV charger is not listed,it does not mean that your EV charger is not supported. The specific brand in the list only means that the brand has been tested by a customer before.
If you have an EV charger (compatible with OCPP), welcome to connect it to IAMMETER and show us the specific tutorial on the integration ,we need the specific tutorial about how to configure the OCPP in different EV chargers.
Then you will be the "earlier customers" of this feature and can use this feature for free forever( the other customers need to subscribe monthly).
welcome to show us your integration tutorial in our forum https://imeter.club/
If you do not have an EV charger , or you want to try this function before you start to connect your own OCPP EV charger to IAMMETER, the IAMMETER-simulator is a good option.
The IAMMETR-simulator will help you evaluate this function before you have an EV charger .
Connect EV-charger simulator to IAMMETER-cloud
For more details,please refer to

Install the IAMMETER`s simulator
After you connect your EV charger to IAMMETER, you can try to set the power value first. If this value is set correctly to the EV charger, it means the connection between the EV charger and the IAMMETER is successful.
IAMMETER will record the solar percentage in each charging process, like below pic.
